Technically on time...

I almost didn't make it with today's post! Today was a busy day and yet somehow I feel like I didn't accomplish very much. Those are never good days.

Well, here's some cemetery landscape thumbnails. Forgive the horrid picture quality. Let's just blame it on ghosts or something.

Thumbs

Today's post are thumbnails! I need to do more pre-planning and preparation for paintings and illustrations, so I've been really trying to work on my thumbnails so that they're stronger and a real basis for the finished work. A few years ago, I still did thumbnails but they were oftentimes just sketches without the value established and mostly indecipherable to anyone but myself.

Here's to legibility and planning!

Going to go with the far right composition and value pattern. Very moody and I want it to appear as though she is emerging from the darkness.

Have an awesome Friday, everyone!

Preview Friday

I'm in the midst of working on another painting so won't have much for today. I will give a sneak peek at the thumbnail for the painting, though!

I'll be going with #1 and going for an eery, mysterious feeling. My reference comes from a photo shoot at the Piedmont Cemetery and I am looking forward to working on this one.

Also, in case any of you don't know or haven't checked it out in awhile, I've added some new art for sale at my Etsy shop. Please feel free to take a gander.

This drawing is for sale right now!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
